The Insomniacs is a text-based puzzle-adventure game made in Twine from September 2020 to May 2021 for a school project. It's about exploring a strange world, meeting unusual characters, and finding your way out. The game was mostly written in a single pass through a wildly depressing winter season, resulting in rough dialogue and untested puzzles. While it shouldn't break, it's quite difficult and may not have been properly beaten by anyone. The game supports automatic saving of progress, allowing you to leave and return at any time. It features a sprawling open world, roaming characters with evolving questlines, multiple endings, a bleak atmosphere, mysterious lore, and moments that evoke deep emotions.
