Gameplay

Diamonds is a trick-taking card game played over a series of rounds. Each player receives a hand of cards, and players take turns playing one card to attempt to win the round, or 'trick'.

Objective

• Collect the most diamond tokens by the end of the game.

Basic Rules

1. Shuffle the deck and deal cards to each player.
2. The player to the dealer's left leads a card from their hand.
3. The following players must follow suit if possible.
4. If not able to follow suit, a player may play any card.
5. The highest card of the leading suit wins the trick.
6. The winner of the trick decides the next lead.
7. At the end of each hand, players score diamond tokens based on their tricks and any special powers of the suits.

• Each suit has a special ability that players can use during the game.

Ending the Game

• The game ends after a pre-determined number of hands, and the player with the most diamond tokens wins.
